It is clear it cannot continue on its current path. Consenting opinions are met with personal attacks by board regulars. This leads to vicous and vulgar responses. DK then needs to ban people and delete posts. This is becoming more and more common. I cannot see this pattern changing and will eventually result in the board being shut down.

I sometimes go to the NY Yankee Blog,  it is MUCH worst,  but sometimes you see some of the same things.   The biggest problem there and on other blogs are people just not able to accept another peoples opinions.   It's my way or highway.

You must also keep in mind that some people are not coming onto this board to offer their opinions, but to provoke anger!

Plus this board is unique because on other fan websites you are not allowed to come on that board and provoke and have

a negative tone of any kind!!!

 

 

Unique? That is untrue. Many boards allow it. Do you mean "rare"? I don't think that is true either.

I think it is safe to say that something needs to break here. No way things can continue like this.

You say that some come soley to provoke anger. I agree. That appears to be the case. But what I have seen much more often is that if someone comes here and offers any criticism whatsoever of Tiger, they get personally attacked by long standing members of this board. I am surprisd the mods and admins allow personal attacks. It is not surprising at all that once someone gets personally attacked that things deteriorate quickly.

Do we REALLY NEED yet another thread on this subject?  No, we do not.   It's been done to death.....
