MCILROY DOUBLE BOGEYS, SMASHES DRIVER TO GROUND LAST HOLE AT MEMPHIS

Caught on CBS-TV camera on his tee shot on the 18th at St Jude Classic, McIlroy found the water left, and in anger threw his club to the ground. Wow! Where is the world press on that one? In frustration after his tee shot, McIlroy clearly tossed and smashed his club several yards in front of him into the ground after the tee shot. The wayward tee shot cost him double-bogey and he lost the lead to Dustin Johnson.

Rory McIlroy hooked into the lake off the final tee and after missing a four-foot putt ended joint seventh at the St Jude Classic.

One bad swing ended Rory McIlroy's hopes of going into his US Open title defence with a fourth PGA Tour victory. The 23-year-old world No 2 was joint leader at the FedEx St Jude Classic in Memphis when he hooked into the middle of a lake off the final tee. Then, by missing a four-foot putt, McIlroy double-bogeyed and dropped all the way to joint seventh place.

Tiger is the only one TGC condemns for it, there are many of the players on tour that do it.

Just read 3 articles about his water shot on the last hole and not one of them mentions what he did with the club!!!!!

Oh my....but when Tiger drops his club in frustration it makes world news and everybody is saying he is having a tantrum,,,or he should be fined...he shouldn't act like that!!!!!  Give me a break!

Believe it is you who needs his tested!!  Looked like a slam to me.....plus the expletive on 12 loud enough for the TV mics to pick up...... He won't get far with that attitude at Olympic.  It's a patient man's course!
