    • Tiger never plays like he scores (or scores like he plays)

it is just me, or do you notice when tiger speaks after a round when he scores bad, he's hitting the ball better than ever, but when he speaks after he scores good like today, he's leaving shots out there, the greens are inconsistent, etc. etc.

your thoughts...

IMHO It's just Tiger being who Tiger is! lol Always looking to get better. It's a great sign he does this because it means he is paying attention to every little detail :)

Exactly!!!  He did have a couple loose drives and some mighty long putts......he's close.....not quite there yet, but mighty, mighty close!!  Another solid round would be WONDERFUL :-)))

twitb,

yes i notice that but it is not unusual.

many of the golfers say the same thing.

so from a pro's point of view, i guess

they see lots of things that we don't

necessarily see, etc.

i think it is golf talk.   true, but still golf talk.

Golf is a culmination of a lot of little things.  It's all about perspective on how you played the round.  You notice how the pros have such great recall of every shot on every hole.  This is why they can have a bad round on a Saturday and turn it around on Sunday.  It's not about making major corrections it may just be 1 or 2 little things that gets them there.  Pessimists only view this anology as an excuse.  Pros cannot be pessimistic but must remain optimistic...always.

AB,

i agree about the minor adjustments.

and that is what Tiger has been doing.

and true.   pros have to be optimistic.

and i am so glad that Tiger is optimistic!

Can anyone SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the Masters?

Tiger really managed the course on Sunday.  He didn't take chances to hurt himself.  I was so proud that he kept his composure throughout the tournament ESPECIALLY on Sunday.  This I believe was the key to his win.

I was also happy for Joey.  It was like a double victory for him as well with Freddy winning the senior tourny.  Joey showed his class by keeping his bib on.  (dig @ Williams) ;-)))

Just goes to show you that when Tiger is back the pressure on the paired player is still astounding.  There is no player in the world that has to deal with all the distractions and pressures that Tiger constantly has to play through.  Even Poulter & Els had many distractions from the fans of Tiger's pairing jockeying for position.  Charlie Wi caved in to the pressure on Saturday and GMac was not immune.  GMac putted very well to start but Tiger stayed focused and matched him for the most part.  The further into the round the pressure kept building on GMac to create an upset and so he did.  GMac missed putts that he would normally make.  The missed 4 footer caused him to start talking to himself and that's when I knew it was getting harder for GMac to affect Tiger.

I think that Jack's 73 PGA Tourny wins may be in jeopardy this year now that Tiger has felt what it takes to become a winner again.  Tiger looked and behaved as a winner and that is deserving of more respect from the naysayers.

Hmmmmmmmm Could it be a FED-EX Cup?     lol ;-))))))

AB,

Tiger's course management was superb!!!
he stayed patient and he also was armed
with the "Tiger Woods Stare Down".   :-)
and i don't think any player can stand
under that type of pressure.

yes.  i know Joey had to be a happy camper
with both Tiger and Freddy winning yesterday!

and the FedEx Cup for Tiger this year?
well.   he has won it twice already, but i would
not be surprised @ all.

GO TIGER!!!

TIGER WOODS IS THE BEST !!!!

:-)
