Hi guys,

Lets face it; Tiger got a real beating yesterday and the other guy really played excellent. I'm not a fan of the other guy (ito golf) but the man showed up the status of Tiger's golf at moment. My concern is that there's juts too much practicing, training and changes going on with Tiger's golf it seems like a never ending story. The more changes the more it stays the same. I completely understand the process but when are you're gonna start playing golf to win? Tiger you're making it difficult for yourself, keep the game simple. I'm just not a fan of all these cute little shots (cut shots) that you want to hit off the tee or into the green. Yes if it comes off everybody's going wow but if it doesn't it's costing you shots that you can't afford to give away because of your poor short game. If you are taking these risks you must have the game to back it up. We all know the putter determines your scoring and that's the long and SHORT of it.  GIR means nothing if you cannot convert it into birdies. . A legend of 14 majors, come on Tiger you are better than this you're making these other tour pros look good. By the way I'm loving the Swing App, it really is awesome like your swing on it! I'm looking for a positive response in the next event and please stop dropping your clubs when you hit an off-line shot, that behavior is unacceptable for a guy of your stature.

the aura, mystique of tiger revolves around the fact that he can and will do things you cannot. whether it is as simple as yukking it up with tony romo or hitting those cut shots you talk about (he even took a page out of phil's book yesterday with a flop shot), he will not stop doing these things for the sake of fans who may or may not be there when he wins.

whether you believe it or not, tiger is living the dream. lets not wake him up.

Very highly talented people have the tendency to always look for ways to improve and are never satisfied with what they got at a certain moment in time. Whether they are so far ahead of the competition or not their desire to elevate themselves even higher sometimes lead to self destruction. Here's a guy who's dominance in world golf was so great and all of a sudden he doesn't like his swing anymore.......That lead to various swing changes and less major victories. Imagine he made no swing changes, based on his superior record 18 majors should have been a walk in the park. This is obviously debatable the reasons for the swing changes only Tiger knows whether it was injury related or not.  His continuous will to improve and get even better maybe put him a few years back. What he did and still does I take my hat off because its a huge sacrifice that should one day in his mind pay off. Unfortunately the game of golf cannot be conquered and time waits for nobody. Everybody's raving about how good the new swing looks and works but nobody's noticing the massive degradation in Tiger's short game which is hurting him at the moment. Living or watching a dream is not reality, putting it into action is what matters. If you chase your own tail sooner or later you are going to hit the wall and that's the point I wanted to make initially. Tiger is beating himself at the moment because nobody can compete against the best of TW no matter how good their best is! Good luck TW I believe in you!

If I could talk to Tiger

I would tell him to get back to the old Tiger. He needs to reset his mind and soul. which is one of the hardest things to do. I wish Earl was still here. It seemed to me that Tiger has forgot who he is. I have reviewed some of Tigers early play and his play in the last 2 years. The look in his face is different, I cant put a word to it but its different. Its like looking at a young boxer and then looking at that same boxer after he has made it to the top and been there for a while. I remember the movie about tiger when his mom was telling him about the color Red and how that is his color and what it means. I'm not saying that he has lost it because he hasn't. This week  showes that. what I'm saying is he has to get back to who Tiger really is. I have been a Tiger fan form the start, and will always be. But I would love to see him really come back and break all the records. So I can laugh at all that said he could not do it.

Thanks

FAN FOR LIFE

Good post, to me he "looks" like a guy who doesn't believe in himself the way he used to.
Hard to put my finger on it. It was painful to have it be Philly Mick though. Credit to PM, he played great - it was just a rough day for ANYONE who pulls for Woods. Myself included. I'm struggling to be optimistic this morning but I will try and think about the season ahead with an upbeat attitude...BTW, I always loved Woods intensity on the course, but the club dropping is something I too could do without....I just want the killer instinct on display going forward.

Great post....i'm intrigued that someone out there thinks walking around in a state of ignorance is good for you. Maybe someone needs to re-awaken the Tiger we all became so familliar with. Kman is spot on.....the process needs some finality. Rather say i've completed phase 1 and now phase 2 will start with an improved putting technique etc. I too think he is an absolute legend but to think what he is doing now is good for his game is unrealistic to say the least. I dont think anyone on this site is enjoying what is happening with TW's game and hence the posts, comments, etc. regarding his form, its not personal or an attack on him, however we are all desperate to see TW back to his absolute best with or without his new swing........but with a vastly improved short- and putting game

I agree with you totally.  Because of the "scandal" (which has been blown so far out of proportion it is unbelievable), and all the criticism of Tiger after that (and still) I think he has tried to mold himself into what they want him to be.  Tiger needs to be Tiger again!  If he has a hissy fit on the golf course because he hit a bad shot so what!!!!!  There are many of them that have done it and are still doing it -- it only becomes an issue when Tiger does it.  Tiger needs to build up his innder confidence again -- I want to see that cocky walk and the normal fist pumps of old when he does something great!  On Saturday when he got 5 birdies out of 6 holes, the reaction from him was very unTigerlike -- I have been a fan of Tiger's since I saw him play his first Masters -- and I have utter faith that he will come back and outdo Jack Nicklaus - but not until he learns that they are going to have something to say no matter what he does!!!!!  So be Tiger!

I know what he promised -- and he doesn't have to throw the clubs around - let the other guys do that -- but a hearty fist pump and cocky attitude is a good thing and he does it better than anybody -- and, by the way,  Phil was doing a pretty good job of being cocky and giving the fist pumps yesterday -- nobody called him out for it -- they just sang his praises.  They're going to criticize Tiger Woods if he became the Archangel Gabriel!!!!  Just be yourself Tiger -- we all love you the way you were!!!!
