I really enjoyed watching Skate Canada (NBC version).  The Men's event was just fab with my fave being Javier!!!  He was just so awesome and had lots of flair!!

The only blot on the Men's competition was that GHASTLY entire row of spectators wearing ACID-Pink sweatshirts!!!!!!   As soon as any skater passed that portion of the arena, my focus was affected!  I thought that CAN'T be in support of breast cancer/awareness thing, that's a whole different shade of pink!!!!   Am I the only one who found this very distracting??  Don't get me wrong, I like pink....I just don't want to go blind by it!!  Anybody know who they were there for/supporting?  Too '80's for me.  Ladies, I hate to break it to ya, but acid pink sweatshirts will never flatter anyone anywhere!

But if it really was for Breast Cancer Awareness, well then, that's OK.

Pink sweatshirt people

They are called the SpecSkaters and have been attending events in those shirts since the mid-late 90's. 4 Couples from somewhere in Ontario.

They've been wearing "those shirts" for years?  Darn.  One would have thought they would have at least faded by now :-)

Also --there is also a couple who wear jackets made to look like U.S. flags that are, in my opinion, just as obnoxious.  They were at 4 Continents last spring, and I noticed them (how could one NOT!) at one of the competitions this fall.
