18 carts were tested from two suppliers, Smoking Everywhere and nJoy.

DEG was found in one of the SE carts.

This is according to the FDA. FDA and Public Health Experts Warn About Electronic Cigarettes

What's interesting is the FDA did not divulge that DEG is APPROVED by the FDA at certain levels... www.fda.gov/downloads/Drugs/.../Guidances/ucm070347.pdf

"The relevant safety limit for DEG is 0.1%, as recognized by
the USP monograph for glycerin. The Agency recommends that a manufacturer perform the identity tests, including the limit test for DEG"

Hire a reporter that has more than 1st grade reading comprehension!

Excellent advice 'dirt' lol.         That puts me out of the running for a job at channel 30!!  lol

Until 'Ben' posted the info on e-cigs, I had no idea they existed. But am very interested in the results of the tests.

Nor did I.

But, if people are now into pretend smoking, wouldn't it be easier, less expensive and more fun to just bring back candy cigs?  ;)

I have been using the E Cig for about 6 months
now and I love it!!! I don't believe the hype on TV because this is
what I cant figure out??
The FDA wants to make claims that this and that are found in the ECIG right?  They want to Ban it?
Well
answer this for me? Why are the Traditional Cigarettes allowed to be
purchase since there are 4000 Chemicals in it and they KNOW for a FACT
it causes cancer? They claim that 400,000 people a year die from
smoking.. HMMMM Lets see ITS the Money!!! The FDA is pissed because
they are not earning a piece of the Moneys coming in from the sales of
the E Cigs..Lets see what would I choose:
Smoking Tar..
Smoking Tobacco
Smoking Crbon Monoxide and the other 3997 Chemicals? NOT!!!!!

I will stay smoking my E Cig... this should be looked at as nothing more then a Nicotine Inhaler!!

The
same chemicals found in my E Cig are found in the Traditional Cigarette
and this all comes down to the fact the FDA wants to regulate it and if
they cant make money then they will do their best to Ban a Heather and
Clean way to receive Nicotine!!

I say if they Ban the E Cig they
better take ALL Cigarettes of the Market because Cigarettes Cause
Cancer and many other things like Heart attacks, Emphysema and so on
BUT wait That's OK.. why because the Government wants our Money ####!!
They have been killing us every year to get money from the sales of
Cigarettes!!! Don't be mislead by these people..Do your research on the
products and make your own Healthy decision!!

 WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

WOW, did you hit the nail on the head xtreme, I LIKE YOU!!!! LOL          love it when people just flat come out and say the truth!!    

 I know I am about to tick off a lot of people, BUT here goes----      It was during the Clinton administration when the attack on cigarettes started. I thought instantly "Man, he sure got ticked off at someone in the Tobacco Industry, maybe they promised him 'money' and didn't deliver? .... But my thinking is mainly because.. and here it comes.... " NO Body Knows What Causes Cancer!! "  NO Body!! not even Al Gore!! and we all know he knows everything about everything. Scientists will tell you that all day long. It is a mystery.

 It has not been 100% Proven that cigarettes causes cancer, and the second hand smoke has been 'PROVEN'   Hogwash about causing cancer. Money, Money, Money...The Huge percentage of people that get lung cancer have Never Smoked a day in their lives. And its a very, very large percent.                   In those little countries that are practically cancer free, they smoke like chimneys.      I in NO means claim to know what causes cancer, but would put my money on all the chemicals used in 'processed' foods, sprays and chemicals in the air, and who knows what else, that is 'Un-natural. Including Margarine. 

 My brother died of bone cancer at about 24, but he had just served a term in the Air Force in Japan after the Bomb was dropped. I have always thought he was a casualty of war. But my family doesn't think so. I believe no 23 yr old gets bone cancer unless he was around something very very dangerous. He got out of the service and was sick within a year.            Cancer is a terrible terrible disease, and has done its due on my family. But as far as 'Anyone claiming to know what causes it, Well, I have to say'     ####
