He can't do that he knows how everybody - fans - want him to go to number 1 spot! But I do think he was tired!

I am wondering if Tiger will play the Greenbrier Classic next year.    I know the resort treated Tiger like a king.   He probably received tons of freebies.      :)

During the weather delay today, tgc repeated Tiger's interview from yesterday and clearly like someone else stated, Tiger was having problems with his eyes.

Agree......he did look tired!  The heat last week.....more heat this week......a fight to the finish last week.....a fight to make the cut this week.  It has to take it's toll.  But he does have some positives to take away from yesterday and today:  he hit those tee shots really well (75% accuracy) and his GIR stats were good too (63%).  Tiger has always been strong in GIR stats.....but not in driving accuracy.  Once he gets those approach shots to hit within that 10 ft circle we'll be watching something truly special!!

Onward to The Open!!!!!!!

Think it was the sun, von.  I noticed the same grimacing from others during their interviews.  Perhaps the sun was reflecting off something.  When VJ was interviewed he had one eye closed most of the time.  Or he might have had some sweat leak into his eye.....that smarts!!!!

I thought Tiger mentioned last Sunday that he had some Nike commercials to shoot on Monday, then he was planning to play practice round on Tuesday; but the weather interfered with it. It's probably a bit difficult to get much out of the proam on Wednesdfay, so he did not get very good prep for this tournament. All in all, I'm glad he played this year; but I hope he passes on it next year.

Other than the reality check of putting slower greens, like he'll prtobably see at the Open, this tournament makes little sense in preparations for the Open.

$$$$ that's why he was there

I bet all the golfers are actually looking forward to playing at The Open not for all the obvious reasons but because it will BE COOLER. Playing golf in this heat is wearing even for a rank amateur like me. It just drains all your energy. I know Tiger is in tip top condition but it still takes its toll. Here's to cooler weather and TIGER getting his #15 at THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP.

GO TIGER! BEAT 18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

re:  the hot weather.

i heard Tiger say on one of his interviews,

that he has a very high metabolism.

and when he plays in a tournament, it really

kicks into high gear and he can often lose

weight while he is playing a tournament.

throw in the sweltering weather, and he

has to be pro-active about it.

and i think that might be one of the

reasons we saw him eating so much

in between holes at the at&t and also

@  the greenbrier.

:-)
