I see the US playing in the Ryder's Cup against
golfers who live in the US but play for the other side,
and I see the US playing in the President's Cup
against golfers who live in the US but play for the
other side.

I have never read anything like it.

Looking at the last RC, I don't think more than 2 or 3 of the European Team were based in the USA. It's  not correct to say they are.

Lets see.

The Molinari Brothers, Peter Hanson,Ross Fisher, Jimenez,Westwood,McIlroy,Kaymer. None of them were members of the PGA tour.

Harrington,MacDowell,Donald and Poulter might have been part time members.

It's just not accurate to say these guys lived in the USA.  The first 8 would have had a he--ll of a long commute to work:)

The info is not correct. Sorry, but it's not kosher to post totally inaccurate information.

Hate is a pretty strong word
for an iffy to accuse me of,
as I have said, and you ignore it,
I like FALDO. Why do you ignore
that? Are you here to stir up trouble
amongst Tiger fans?

For the love of Allah!! I NEVER said you hated Faldo. How could you say such a thing?  I said I couldn't care if you did.

All I've done is correct factual errors you are making. I'd have thought you would have been pleased? You love Stats.  What's the point of posting information that's wrong?

Faldo is English not South African.
Faldo has never played on the Presidents Cup.
The Europeans don't play on the Presidents Cup
Team USA hasn't beaten The Euros recently
The Ryder Cup Team for the most part don't live in the USA.

I'd have thought that a guy who loves posting facts would have liked to have got them correct. Or are you happy giving out wrong information?

If I have offended you by pointing out to forum members that you got numerous things totally wrong I apologize.

The Presidents Cup is a series of men's golf matches between a team representing the United States and an International Team representing the rest of the world less Europe.

The Ryder Cup (officially the Ryder Cup Matches) is a biennial golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States.

enough already !!

I know the difference......but poor, poor Bill......

President's Cup.....US versus World Team (no Europeans)

Ryder Cup.....US versus European Team

Very simple!!!

US currently holds the Prez Cup......Euro Team holds the Ryder Cup for just a bit longer!!!

Bill......the President's Cup was designed as an alternate year event after the Ryder Cup.  It purposely was designed to allow players from around the world to participate who would not be qualified due to citizenship in a country not within the continent of Europe.  That would include S. Africa, S. America, Asia, Canada, etc.

All European team players in the Ryder Cup must be citizens of the European continent......
