Gammasus, do you have GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease)?  GERD can be a cause of chronic cough and chest pain.  Were you actually diagnosed  with recurrent respiratory infection or you thought that you have had respiratory infections due to the chronic coughs?

MY MOM TAKES MEDICATION FOR BLOOD PRESSURE, SHE WAS COUGHING DAY AND NIGHT

FOUND OUT LATER IT WAS ONE OF THE MEDICATIONS AND THAT ALSO ONE OF HER FRIENDS TOLD HER,

THE COULDN'T TELL WHAT IT WAS.

Those medicines could be ACE inhibitors such as lisinopril or Altace (ramipril).

I DONT KNOW WHICH MEDICATION WAS THAT, BUT I'M GONNA CHECK THE NAMES.

SHE WAS GIVEN ANOTHER MEDICATION BY THE SAME DOCTOR,

AND SHE WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT HEADACHES, SHE IS 70 AND WORKS FULL TIME IN THE HOSPITAL, VERY ACTIVE.  i CHECKED THE MEDICATIONM IN THE COMPUTER,

IT SAID IF YOU DON'T HAVE HEART TROUBLE AND TAKE THIS MED. YOU CAN HAVE ONE........

SO, I DON'T TRUST THESE DOCTORS.

I BELIEVE IN HERBAL MEDICINE.

May you be healed in the name of jesus christ. trust him that it is done. don't be afraid. all our lives are in his hands as yours is. god gave us doctors, but in the end he does the healing. god does not always heal at the snap of a finger, but sometimes he uses time to perfect the process. i can testify to healing for myself so i know he works in due season. i know the future is uncertain and fearful, but god holds the future so continue to be at peace. you are greatly loved on this forum and by god, as well.

So glad to hear this news.  If you have been given any new medication in the last few months, I'd get that checked out.  About 6 months ago my doctors changed my blood pressure medication and all of a sudden my blood work was coming back showning that my kidneys weren't functioning properly.  They were all set to send me off to a nephrologist but I researched the new meds and that was one of the side effects.  Once they changed the meds, my blood work came back perfect.  Paddy's mom has a spot on her lung and went through the same scare about cancer you are going through.  It turned out to be  nothing....they do monitor it periodically with scans just to be sure nothing changes.  Still praying hard!
