Dear all,
I have been told that on 8 October 2009, the US requested the establishment of a WTO panel to investigate certain measures affecting poultry meat and poultry meat products from the US to the EC. This follows the consultations with the EC that the US had requested on 16 January 2009 and which were held on 11 February 2009. No agreement was then reached. The dispute is about pathogen reduction treatments (hereinafter, PRTs) which are not allowed under EC hygiene regulation.
I know that the WTO Dispute Settlement Body considered the request to establish a panel during its meeting on 23 October 2009 (today).

I would be delighted whether I could be given some up-to-date because I am writing a book on Food Law (in Italian) and such a news would be very very usefull.
