Vinanet 12/11/2009 Add more 119,791 billions JPY ODA for Vietnam
Date 10/11/2009 , In Tokyo , Vice –Minister Vietnam Tran Xuan Ha and Mr Oshima Kenzo, Vice Chairman JICA signed 7 agreement for ODA – LOAN for first fiscal year 2009 with total 119,791 JPY
This Total ODA is support to projects for SME ( 3 periods ) : Stimulation to use the energy effectively and clean , Build the electricity factory Thaibinh and the electricity lines ( first period ) , Build the road near ROAD 1 ( second period ) , and project for infrastructure for poverty alleviation small size
Part of this ODA for Programme Poverty reduction cycle 8 (PRSC 8)

So since 1992 up to now 17 years the Japan Government give ODA to Vietnam with total in document 1.369 billions JPY

In many year Japan is biggest donor ODA for Vietnam .The agreement year 2009 is biggest agreement since 17 years of Japan Government

Vice minister Tran Xuan Ha let know that in recently year the Japan ODA focus on infrastructure development like energy , transport , sea ports and telecommunication

The big projects have impact to Vietnam socio –economic development like Electricity factory Pha Lai , Phu My , hydro electricity Ham Thuan – Dami , Road 10 , road 18 , Cau Binh , Hai phong port , The Air port Tan Son Nhat , the bridge Bai Chay , Road East – west in HCM city

Mr Ha said in this fiscal year , support Vietnam implement infrastructure projects , environment and small and medium enterprises, Japan government support Vietnam 2 LOAN in cash with total 54,9 billions JPY by the way support to government budget for Poverty reduction and economic stimulation for over came the economic crisis

ODA 4 millions USD for food programme

KTDN – This project belong to Japan ODA to Vietnam.
Date 29/10 in Hanoi, Ambassador Japan in Vietnam Mitsuo Sakaba and Minister Ministry of Finance signed the document “ food project for poor peasants , value ODA 360 millions Yen ( about 4 milions VND )

Project support Vietnamese Government in moderation of Agricultural, high production and sustainable in country and export

The Japan government ensure supply to Vietnam the fund thought selling fertilize .This money will be use for poor peasants

In this meeting ,Ambassador Sakaba hope that the Japan project will help peasants improve the life , and join to the global food security activity

– This project belong to ODA from Japan to Vietnam .
