Happy Thanksgiving.  Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy MLK day, Happy Groundhogs' Day (In case I miss it.)  Happy St. Patty's Day  (In case I miss it.)  And of course, Happy Valentine's Day...(In case I miss it.)

Just thougth I'd check in w/ everybody in case you have forgotten me in the last few weeks.  I'm still alive and kickin' and can feel that little rumble of excitement as baseball approaches Spring Training this year.  Go Cubs 2008!  This is the last chance to win before passing the century mark.

I'm sorry if I left rather abruptly.  I really wasn't upset w/ anyone in particular but as my mood swings were cycling down I needed to lurk for awhile before I posted something more stupid than even the more questionable ones that I have already subjected ya'll to in the past.

Hey, but the days are getting longer and my ability to hope and smile and become optimistic again is gaining strength.  (This, in spite of Clemens, the congressional hearings, and the news about Tejada who I still like in spite of the allegations.  Sorry, can't say the same about Clemens, but that's just me I guess.)

I hope some of my old buddies are still around because I do miss (almost) of you.  LOL.  Hey, I'm even tolerant of my detractors when it comes down to it, as we all serve a purpose in this world.

I'm posting here instead of the Bleacher's as I'm afraid a political discussion might lure me into breaking my 2008 New Year's resolution.

No,  I don't mean going on an eating binge to bury any frustrations.  I've lost 25 lbs since my rx changes and down to my skinny jeans. 

Again, I'm hoping and asking for God's grace to help me be a gentler and kinder human being.  Now, keep in mind, this does not include flirting or occasionally dropping a controversial line or two to spice the doldrums that we sometimes fall into now and then.  I'm afraid that's just part of my personality.  But seriously, remind me if you do catch a post that is not posted in kindness.
