Linebrink, Pena, Dotel, Thorton, and Jenks have all combined to cost us wins in the late innings.  Thorton and Jenks have saved and won games at an acceptable rate. The others have just about cost us any chance at catching Detroit.  While we are not that far behind I do not see any chance as long as we continue to trot Linebrink and Pena to the mound.  I am a Diamondbacks fan along with the Sox and the Dbacks got rid of Pena at a time when they needed relief pitching. Nuff said.  Dotel in the right situation has been his usul feast or famine.  Strike out the side or load the bases and give up a gand slam.

I do not understand why GMs think they can turn relief pitchers around.  The Cubs took the Marlins blown save leader and made him their closer.  What a surprise when he continued to blow saves.
