Surprisingly enough, I was able to catch a Hawks home game last night against the Blues thru FSN midwest. This team is skating much better and the goaltending is much stronger so far this year. However, it was a frustrating loss to the Blues, mostly because the Hawks were simply unable to finish or complete passes. They must learn to tighten up and pass the puck with more accuracy, and who knows what can happen. I also have been very unimpressed with Perreault and Samsonov so far, both of whom can be blamed for sloppy play against the Blues.

Fix these issues up and there may actually be more to talk about in the coming weeks.
