| OK, so Illinois went to the title game in 05. So DePaul plays in the biggest conference in college basketball. The fact remains there there are only 2 schools in Illinois that have a ligitimate chance at the NCAA show this year- Illinois State and Southern Illinois. After ISU twice slammed the door on SIU this season, they look to be the only team from Illinois with a real chance at playing for a national championship and yet I find that ISU's top story is buried under yet another story about how the Illini are underachieving. Garbage. Give ISU some credit. They have the best player of any school in Illinois (Osiris Eldridge), they have the best record (22-8) and they have the best chance at an actul championship. Talk about the Illini when they get back over .500. |
