I hope this hunt debunks a few theories many of you hold on to even though there was/is no proof for them:

1) The porto-potty theory -that somehow the parks dept knows where the medallion is and promptly delivers porto potties to the right park.  In fact this hunt there were none delivered.  Usually when the porto-potties show up it's usually cuz of other activities such as x-country skiing or WC events being held.

2) The too small or dangerous  - actually even the smaller parks are much bigger once you're inside them and most of the time "dangerous" places are exaggerated or dangerous people don't hang out in parks when it's -5.

3) The ample parking theory - time after time people say they won't have it somewhere cuz there isn't enough parking to accomodate the large crowds. In fact most parks don't have enough parking once the crowds get big the last couple of days. If people want to hunt bad enough then they have to search for legal parking on the streets within walking distance or take the bus. I can honestly say we had no problem in finding parking this year despite SH having 1 small parking lot.
