George W. Bush has pi$$ed away the lives of 3345 US soldiers in Iraq, 342 in 2007, 98 in April; and will gladly pi$$ away 1000 or 1500 more so that he can blame his successor, who will finally withdraw from Iraq.

US fatalities in JANUARY THROUGH APRIL of 2007 are already higher than US fatalities in any JANUARY THROUGH MAY period of the war:

2004 334 January through May
2005 332 January through May
2006 293 January through May
2007 342 January through April

The 98 fatalities in April is the most in any month in 2007.

The 342 fatalities in January through April of 2007 is 34% higher than the previous high in a January through April period: 254 in 2004.

There are already enough US fatalities this month to assure that the fatality rate per day for the entire war will rise again in April. This is the 9th straight month that the fatality rate per day has risen.

There were 210 days between October 1, 2006 and April 28, 2007, inclusive. In that time the US suffered 630 military fatalities, 3 per day, over a period of time greater than 57% of a year.

The fatality rate per day in 2007 is (342/118) = 2.898 per day. The previous highest fatality rate for a calendar year was 2004, with (849/366) = 2.320 per day.

"I think they're in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency."

Dick Cheney 5/31/05

At the end of May of 2005, 1667 US soldiers had died in Iraq.

Since the end of May of 2005, 1678 US soldiers have died in Iraq.

So the majority of US soldiers' fatalities in Iraq has occurred since Cheney made his remark.

George W. Bush has pi$$ed away the lives of 3349 US soldiers in Iraq, 346 in 2007, 102 in April; and will gladly pi$$ away 1000 or 1500 more so that he can blame his successor, who will finally withdraw from Iraq.

US fatalities in JANUARY THROUGH APRIL of 2007 are already higher than US fatalities in any JANUARY THROUGH MAY period of the war:

2004 334 January through May
2005 332 January through May
2006 293 January through May
2007 346 January through April

The 102 fatalities in April is the most in any month in 2007.

The 346 fatalities in January through April of 2007 is 36% higher than the previous high in a January through April period: 254 in 2004.

There are already enough US fatalities this month to assure that the fatality rate per day for the entire war will rise again in April. This is the 9th straight month that the fatality rate per day has risen.

There were 211 days between October 1, 2006 and April 29, 2007, inclusive. In that time the US suffered 634 military fatalities, more than 3 per day, over a period of time greater than 57% of a year.

The fatality rate per day in 2007 is (346/119) = 2.908 per day. The previous highest fatality rate for a calendar year was 2004, with (849/366) = 2.320 per day.
