No, illegal immigrants should definitely NOT be allowed to vote - on anything! Hence, the word "illegal"! Just as they should not be receiving any welfare or social security. When they start paying taxes and become legal citizens (the old fashioned way just as my ancestors did!) then they can reap the benefits. This is America - the land of opportunity NOT the land of hand-outs! I have been paying taxes for almost 40 years - and yet, when I needed help for one month all I was offered was $25 in food stamps and a voucher for a weekend at a women's shelter. I also live with asthma, anxiety attacks, chronic relapsing pancreatitis, carpal tunnel, fibromyalgia, a rare kidney disease (which warrants me going on dialysis and preparing for a cadaver transplant) and back and neck injuries from being rear-ended by a semi - and I was turned down by social security disability saying I wasn't disabled enough! But yet there are many illegals receiving a check every month just because they are immigrants! My ancestors were also immigrants - and they lived by working, sweating and doing without! No one handed them a house or car or monthly check - nor would they have ever considered asking for any of them! Where is the fairness? And we wonder why our country is in the state of chaos that it is in! Work for your money - and your right to decide who runs this country. The Muslims have said they will destroy America from the inside - let the illegals vote and that will happen sooner than any of us can imagine.

I agree completely with deadrose53. They should not have any of the benefits of legal citizens. I heard a woman of illegal status interviewed on the news saying, "I'm not a criminal." YES maam, I beg to differ - you ARE a criminal! What part of illegal don't you understand? "Illegal" alien means you are here AGAINST the law. When you abide by the laws of the land like the rest of the citizens, then you may also take advantage of the benefits.
On a similar note, I just applied for a new job and had to take a drug test for the first time in my 32 years of working. I don't even drink alcohol but I understand with the way times have gotten, companies can't be too careful in hiring people. I think it would be wise if all of those receiving welfare, food stamps, etc (legal or illegal) had to pass a drug test before receiving their free money. I know the drug tests would cost the government money but we'd save a ton on those who won't work because they are abusing illegal substances.
