| Madrid is an extremely exciting place with great cultural and historical sites to see. I strongly recommend going to the Prado to get a great overview of important Spanish art. There's great shopping to be had, but keep in mind that if you're trying to head out on a Monday almost everyhting will be closed. Check out the gardens outside of the now Congressional halls, they are mazing beautiful. If you are looking for a club go to Capital, it is a six-story wonder with everything to offer from deep house to funk to hip-hop. The top-floor terraza has a glass ceiling that slides open on clear nights so you gaze at the stars while you lsiten to some calming trance beats. It's really hard to not be amazed by the architecture of the city also, definietly check out the officiall royal post office and the amazing fountain out front, you can stop by on the way to the Prado. If you have a free day you might even want to head out to one of the towns outside. Toledo is great but is a bit much to try to fit into one day. Have a great trip! |
