Anyone else worried about Fokou having to be the starter this week? Thats alot to ask for a rookie. Granted Gocong is not really great, but he has to be better than Fokou yikes |

| I'm more worried about the run game than the passing game. I don't think it could get any worse in pass defense. Gocong was pretty strong against the run. Hopefully against Dallas that won't hurt us too much. |

Hopefully he won't make the silly penalty in a crucial stage of the game. He's a pretty athletic guy so he just might make some plays. |

I don't why Gogong has to be better than Fokou. I hope the kid plays well and we hear his name. More than I can say for Gogong, I never hear the guy's name. |

It's been the way that they use the SAM...in the past Carlos Emmons was expected to contain the TE, and not so much make the big blitz. I think Fokou is athletic enough to really have an impact. He played well in spots during PS. But of course so did Joe Mays in 08. |

Yeah, maybe it's just their scheme in things and it's gotten all turned around because Gogong could never cover well and they didn't move the SAM position to blitz more. I mean that was Gogong's strength right? Rushing. |

Let's face it. Gocong is a converted DE that they expected to learn the position on the fly. They thought that he was smart and athletic enough to pick things up quickly and would thusly be a testament to them being smarter than everyone else. Chris is a nice guy and all, but he's yet to explode on the scene as you noted. I'd hope that he'd develop into a dynamic, but heady defender against the run; and a dynamic blitzer even from the Sam. He's still trying to figure out things at times, imo. That said, hopefully Fokou doesn't blow up in their faces and Chris can get back next week. |

looking forward to it. That stuff wtherspoon has been doing & frankly Jordan is catching on is "LINEBACKING".
Think about it when did you ever see Gocong read a sweep & shoot a gap to make a play in the backfield. That is instintive linebacking & he can't do it because he is not an L.B.. Not his fault.Charecter is what you do when people arn't looking |

| Why would I worry.+? Gocong did nothing at SAM. He looked ok last week and with a full week of practice he should improve. |
