As I understand it, the tracking on AZ is quite simple. You can preset a number of id's like myid-21, myotherid-21 etc and that gets reported. But what if I want to track using some randomly generated character string? For example I may want to track someone through a site using a session id which could contain an 8 character code. So then I could tie up their route with any eventual purchase and optimise the site organisation accordingly. General APPs like Tradedoubler allow this sort of thing but I don't see a facility on Amazon. Am I right or is there something buried deeply that I can add - an extra GET for example - that would enable me to do this. |

| AFAIK you can't do that. |

A lot of affiliates have been asking for this and for a long time now.
There is a downside for the content affiliate however, as soon as Amazon introduce a granular keyword tracking solution, it will open the flood gates for a large number of PPC affiliates. They will of course do anything they can to overwrite your cookies ;-) |
