Hi,

Wife beat me hands down this month!  3 wins to her and only 1 to me.

I haven't won for ages. Do you get regular wins then? I'm interested in the concept of having enough to KNOW you will win...

I think if you have the max (30K, I think) you can more or less guarantee at least one win every month.

That's interesting. Interest is so low at the moment it is as good a way to save as any, and with that element of excitement, possibility and scope for good karma to kick in!

Hi,

It is thought that if you hold the maximum allowable number of bonds and you are "stastistically lucky" you will average 16 wins a year.  Which roughly translates into one win per month.

regards

George

Hi George, I'm somewhat disillusioned now, as they have reduced the minimum prize from £50 to £25.

Hi jlovie,

Thanks for that.  I didn't know that calculator existed.

Hi Lorna,

I know how you feel.  I read an article that the Gov. did this after bailing out the banks, in order to assist the banks by not competing with them for funds from the general public.
