 General -  Incomplete Listings

I know this has been discussed before, but without trailing through all the threads, does anyone know EXACTLY how to relist these incomplete listings.

I appear to have nearly 250 incomplete listings under ALL Listings; some appear to show for sale, some don't. Last night I "Finish Listing" some of them but that doesn't seem to do anything. I even closed completely a couple of listings and relisted and today they are back being incomplete.

What is everyone else doing with theirs?

Gill

I used the Amazon Seller help and got them to call me.

Get them to look at your All Listings and then 're-charge' your inventory.

Did the trick for me and all of them appeared as if by magic on my open listings.

If they are visible to the buyer, I do nothing.  I had one bizarre listing, where the title had been changed to "hardcover", but it was still visible to buyers.  Since there was no way it was going to sell, I de-listed it, then found another catalogue entry to list it under.  Worryingly, I received no cancelled listing email about it, although I have had emails for every other book I have cancelled (eg if sold on ABE or culled).

In some cases my copy is not visible to buyers.  Rather than spend time checking the hundreds of incomplete listings, I will deal with them as I get to them during my rolling cull.  I suspect that these incomplete listings are the result of the catalogue mergers team doing their work.  I also suspect that, if left alone, Amazon will complete the process of their own accord.  If I go back more than a few days, I don't find many incomplete listings.

Some of these 'Incomplete' listings are Sold ones.  Out of 43 only about 10 of mine are actually still for sale.  They appear to be still in the listings so I'm not doing anything at the moment.  I think Amazon have been having another round of 'rationalising' the catalogue.

"If they are visible to the buyer, I do nothing."

How do you edit your listing then if you want to?

Because I can't in this state!!

Some of mine are definitely ones I got half through listing, then didn't for one reason or another. I can't click on the item itself, and the fact they they have Amazon generated SKUs means I can't search by SKU. If I search by name I find some of them, but I think these are from when I subsequently listed the item fully.

I don't want mine turned into open listings, as I think this will lead to duplicate listings and listing of sold items. I reckon we only never saw them before because listings were either Open or Closed.

After a long chat with CS who "tried" to be very helpful; and after they refreshed my account which did nothing, I am going through my incomplete listings one by one - it's the only thing.

Some are previously sold items, which I am deleting but others I am closing down completely and relisting. I have about 250 in all to get through. There are also double (and in a couple of cases triple) listings which I know I have not done. There are also some with only part of the title showing.

I think you are right in that these are the books which we haven't always seen as not listed but only found on a rolling cull of our shelves. Since I started with Amazon I have repriced a shelf at a time and always found a few books not listed.

Hi Gill, I've only just got to grip with my incomplete listings, so far most that I've checked still appear to be listed, and on view to buyers.

Could some one check
B0014BQNVE

for me as I think I have one for sale and I'd like to check that other people can see it.
